The Mancelona Ironmen Varsity Football team traveled to Elk Rapids where they faced a pretty tough team. Elk Rapids shut out Mancelona in the seasoner, non-conference game, 39-0.
Elk Rapids dedicated the game to Marine Sgt. Jason Calo of Mancelona, who was killed in Afghanistan August 22, 2010. The Elk Rapids community raised $1,333 that night, and donated the money to the Calo family. Thank you, Elk Rapids!
